Technology as Witness

This article describes how technology as a witness can help us explore the "long distance" world. The long distance here is not geographically distant but refers to areas that we,ordinary people, cannot access for some reason, such as war zones.

To be honest, I did not know that these war zones can be approached by this method before reading this article.

Following are the questions I thought about, also posted by our teacher.

1. Consider these artworks in relation to the text how do they figure a witnessing at a distance?

2. How do these artworks engage with "nearness"? How does computation in particular play a role in this?

3. How does computation allow us to access or be near to things we couldn't without it?

2. uses forensics to tells a story

1.Immersive experiences (VR)

2.First -person perspective, storytelling

3.Immersive experiences can make us immersed in the environment, and make us feel we are a part of it, especially the author use the First-Person perspective.

The using of storytelling can influences our emotion.
